Did very good with this team.  In every round I wanted to make sure that I get Map choice and pick the Space Map to control all team wtih range.  Went 3-0 with this team and loss to a FUN game against Joe.  This might be my best Tournament win because everyone was laughing at my team before the Tournament started.  Had a lot of FUN!

It was a 400 points Modern Age game last Saturday.  I feel like using a crappy team for the event because I have the Watchmen Collector's set and really haven't use them at all.  My team was:

After playing this team I just realize how bad these guys are.  I think only The Comedian is the only decent figure in the bunch.  I'm kinda shocked that I went 2-1 at the end of the day with this team.  Maybe I'll play this team again in the future to give my final opinion on them.

The event was a 500 points 2-figure team-up event.  One must be from Marvel and the other from DC.  My team was:

HoT Thor/Loki 362 pts

BB Etrigan 136 pts

This team was made to slow down the HSS figures like Phoenix and Cosmic Spider-Man.  Thor/Loki top dial Running Shot played a big part on this team.  I can pretty get a good a attack and then use the duo attack the following turn.  I made sure to use my perplexes on Defense to make sure they don't take too much damgae.  With Etrigan you have another Perplex with PC.  Its was funny how many people attacked Etrigan instead of Thor/Loki in every game.  Guess they were really afraid of the PC.  Team went 3-0 but place 2nd because of points.

Just a fun team that I wanted use both Superman and Batman together.  End up winning the event with a 2-1 record because of points.  Love this team, remind me of the good old days.

Lost to a Gotham City team with two Batman and two Robin in the first round.  Dice was not my friend in this game.  In the second round I took out a Cypher with Green Lantern and Sinestro team.  I also won the 3rd round against a X-men team with Nightcrawler, Archangel, Cyclops and something else I forgot.

Last Saturday event was build two Modern Age 300 point teams and when 150 points of your first team has been eliminated, the other 300 point team begins play in your starting area.  So my team of Crazies were:

My starting team stategy was to use Penguin and Firefly to move my team around and hoping to use the Penguin Leadership to remove action token from the team.  His Defend with 17D was good enough to support my low Defense team.  Pushing Holiday Killer early to get him at the 11 Attack was important because of my whole team having the Batman Enemey TA.  Edward Nigma enhancement was great too.  Four out of six figure on this team have Outwit which help big time.  Choosing map was important too because I wanted to play thematic and pick the Arkham Asylum map.

My team 2 was built supporting Clown Prince of Crime to be the main attacker.  The two Bystander Token was there for Master Mind fodder if needed.  Ventriloquist was there for the Perplex and his Incap Special power was pretty helpful too.  Harvel Dent started with Flurry and Willpower was my second attacker.  He also have Outwit top dial.  This team was a lot of fun and I could of went 3-0 if my last round opponent would play a little faster.  For the day this team went 2-1 was very impressive even for my standard.

Coming in this event I wanted to make sure I will get map choice.  I know my team lack range big time so I decided to play the Space map every round.  The goal of this team is to make sure you base your opponent team as fast as possible.  In the first round I played against a MM Apocalpse, DC75 Batman, DC75 Superman and a MM Marvel Girl.  I almost lost this match because my opponent got the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak on Apocalpse which made him 10x more dangerous with Charge and +1 damage.  I kinda got lucky because he rolled two critical misses with Apocalpse.  In the second round I played against a Avengers team which have Dr. Strange and some other figures.  At the end NO ONE on my team took damage.  In the final round I play against a Sinestro Corps team which I took out easily again.  Went 3-0 for the night.

Today at HeroClix Super Store event was a 300pts must have atleast 100pts from either Marvel or DC.  My team was:

With this team I was testing how good if Namor would team-up with Aquaman trait.  I think this was my first tournament that I went 0-3 in last five+ years.

Last Wednesday night at Game Kastle the event was you must play 1 figure from a GSX Super Booster in a 800 points Modern Age game.  My team was:

GSX Apocalpse 500pts

In the first round I went up against a Onslaught with two SI Thing at a even 800.  His team was pretty good and I understand what he was doing with the double Thing.  The chance of taking a action token off of Onslaught every turn was a great idea.  The reason I won this match because I hitted majority of my Shape Change roll on Apocalypse and he choose the wrong map.  I started 1-0.  In the 2nd round I went up against a 100pts Frost Giant with a lot of other figures.  I don't remember the team but I took him out easily without anyone on my team getting knocked out.  In the final I played against a Asgardian Theme Team which had both male and female Loki.  This team was REALLY good because he had two TK and two Psychic Blast figure with 11 attack.  I think I made the mistake of not basing his team with Apocalpse on turn 2.  After a long night of HeroClix playing I went 2-1 and lost the final round.

Coming into this event you have to account for Vet. Icon Superman, Skrull Ms. Marvel and Cosmic Spider-Man.  Both Superman and Ms. Marvel was no threat for my team because of Dr. Doom special outwit and Dr. Strange + Superman Enemy TA.  Mystic damage will slow down Cosmic Spider-Man bacecause he only have HSS for his first 2 clicks and he only does 4 damage.  I was 3-0 against a Vet Icon Superman and Cosmic Spider-Man for the day but my only loss was to a team that out range my team.  I lost going up against a CR Darkseid with 12 range and a Wizard Shazam with also a 12 range.  This team was really good because he have triple TK and a lot of perplexes.  At the end my goal for my team was to control all HSS characters and at end it did achieve that.

So last Thurday I participated in my first Legends tournament in 7 years.  I went to the event for two main reason.  I needed a Cable LE for my self and I want to participate in the Wizkids facebook contest.  My team was:

Round 1, I went up against a one-man team Onslaught.  There isn't much to talk about with this match.  Took him out after turn 4 in less then 5 minutes and I started the night 1-0.  The next round I face the Judge and his team was Apocalpse and Archangel SR.  I choose the Madripoor map for this fight knowing full well that my team out ranged his Apocalpse.  After he missed his first attack with Archangel against my Sentinel Mark II with a RS+PB, it was my turn on the offense.  Just a note that he hitted his first 4 Shape Change roll but after 20 minutes the game was over and I was sitting at 2-0 waiting for my final match of the night. In the final round I went up against a Asgardian Theme featuring Loki SR, Frost Giant (100 pts version) Malekith, Sif, Asgardian Warrior and something else.  This match was tough from the get go because I was facing a good player.  TK plus a 10 range Stealth Psychic Blast was no easy feat to over come.  The only reason I won this match is because I believe my opponent didn't have enough attacker to finish my team off.  Karima LE was down to her last click early and my Sentinel took 11 clicks mid game.  I X-Men heal Karima back to top dial and my Sentinel also went back to the 4th click thanks to the Vine.  So I end up winning the tournament with a 3-0 record.

This past Saturday event was 400 pts Giant Size X-Men floor (atleast 200pts from the GSX set) event.  My team for the event was:

FUTURE THEME TEAM

The goal of this team was to control HSS characters such as Nightcrawler and WL Flash.  My first round opponent didn't play a HSS character at all and I came in underestimating his Bullseye team.  I loss badly so I started 0-1 for the day. In the 2nd round I didn't  have any problem taking out Deadpool/Cable and Thorbuster team. At first I was pretty worry facing a team with so much damage reducer but this where Bishop come in to play with his 2nd click Outwit. Cyclops/Phoenix Enhancement power which also give a +1 to range attack also play a big part. I was sitting at 1-1 after the 2nd round. The third round I faced Professor X, Nightcrawler, The Question, Roulette and a few Researcher.  I was pretty sure I can win this fight easily because I built a team to counter this.  Unfortunately I was out played and time ran out.  If I had another 5 minutes Professor X and all the reseacher was going to get KOed.  After this defeat I was 1-2 for the day and was ashamed of my play.
