Assassination Round

Everyone removes one character slot from the draft pool

Snake Draft

Players draft characters in order for odd rounds then draft in reverse order for even rounds.

Teams

400 points

No feats, ATAs, BFCs, or special objects (that aren't part of the character).

By season's end you must have used every character you drafted at least twice.

Games

50 minutes

Play every player twice.

You may not use the same character against the same person twice.

Bonus Draft

After half the games are played the last place team may draft one character from the original post-assassination pools.

This character is added to the player's pool.

Trading

Trading ends after half the games are played.

Detailed

Draft Pools

For each set; 3 of every common, 2 of every uncommon, 1 of every rare, and half of the super rares.

Captain America: Quasar, Maelstrom, Baron Zemo, Kitty Pryde, Squirrel Girl, Human Torch

Secret Invasion: Ringmaster, Magus, Nick Fury, Impossible Man, Skrull Emperor, Power Man and Iron Fist

Assassination Round

Players will chose a character slot to remove from the draft (i.e. if you chose a common character all 3 will be removed from the draft).

Snake Draft

Players will draft characters in order of their position. After a full round, drafting is repeated but in reverse order of position. This process is repeated for 8 rounds. Example: player in position 1 drafts first in every odd round and last in every even round.

Second Set Draft

The assassination round and snake draft are repeated for the second set, but players' positions start reversed (i.e. if you drafted first in the first set you draft last in the second set)

Trading

You may not trade for a character that you traded way. Trading ends after you have played half your games. Characters received in a trade are considered unplayed.

Build Restrictions

By the end of the season you must have played every character in your draft pool twice. You may not use the same character against the same player in your second game with that player, even if you have multiples of a character.

Schedule

There will be a posted schedule to be used as a guide, but you are not forced to play by the listed schedule. You may play opponents in any order that you wish. However, it's reccomended that you play everyone once before playing your second game with a player. If personal schedules make this difficult you can play the same player twice prior to playing everyone once; however, this will make you ineligible for the bonus draft.

Maps

We will be using the Worlds 2011 map list for our selection of available maps: The Lab, The Junkyard, Airbase, The Bank, Spaceship Crash Site, The Asylum, Fountain of Asgard, Graveyard, The Bridge, The Crater, The Monument, Airport Terminal, Madripoor, Ferris Aircraft, OA.

Bonus Draft

After half the games are played, the player in last place in each division will get to draft one character from the post-assassination pool of characters. This character can not be used in playoffs or inter-league games.

Ranking

Done by win-loss record then points then head-to-head.

Playoffs and Inter-League Games

After the regular season we will have playoffs consisting of the top 3 teams in each division: 2nd vs 3rd with the winner playing 1st. Then the division winners playing for the championship. Other players who did not make playoffs can and should play an inter-divisional game with their matched ranked opponent. You may use only one team for all playoff (and inter-divisional) games.

Reporting

The winner of the game has 72 hours in which to report the score. The score must be reported on the forums as described in the reporting thread on the forums. Every 24 hours late will be a loss of 10 points, if more than a week late a loss will be recorded. Everyone will be allowed one late reporting which will be accounted for at the end of the season; the worst violation will be removed.

Proxies

There will be no proxy players. The regular season ends on the day of the playoffs, unplayed games remain unplayed.

Champion

The champion will once again choose the 2nd set for season 5. The first set should be Superman. The choices for the 2nd set will be: Arkham Asylum, Hammer of Thor, Web of Spider-Man, or DC 75th.
